"I always wanted to be a successful businessman. I believe success is measured by the morals and integrity exhibited to reach my personal and business goals."
About Lou Lentine
Lou Lentine embodies the very definition of entrepreneur. By the age of thirty he built a $30 million dollar consumer products business. Today, he stands as the President and founder of Viatek Consumer Products Group, a company that has developed solution-oriented merchandise that has attracted major retailers and TV Shopping Networks. His high level of corporate citizenship and exemplary talent within the sales industry has allowed Viatek to establish partnerships around the globe and distribute products in seventy countries spanning five continents. Some of his numerous honors and recognition’s include: the World Trade Book of Honor Award, Exporter of the Year Award, Deloute & Touche Fast 50 for Central Florida & Fast 500 USA, University of Central Florida Alumni of the Year, and a Nomination for the Entrepreneur of the Year by Earnest & Young.
Throughout the years, Lou Lentine has upheld a fine balance between his philanthropic activities and professional endeavors. Mr. Lentine gives to numerous charities including: Give Kids the World, a non-profit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses and their families around the world. Lou Lentine also gives to such worthwhile organizations such as the American Cancer Society and the MaryEllen Locher Breast Cancer Center, a center that works to maintain the highest level of breast care available in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
As an Inventor
Lou Lentine believes that the frontier of innovation starts with an idea. Developing products that make sense or solve a common problem is one of his biggest passions. In his opinion, watching a product blossom from an idea to a reality, to ultimately landing in the hands of a happy customer is the biggest success any inventor can reach.
No stranger to direct response TV, Lou Lentine developed some of the most popular items on TV including the Hurricane Spin Mop, a revolutionary mopping system that cleans floors throughout the home without the use of harsh detergents. With the Hurricane Spin Mop floors are clean and dry in half the time. As a current top ASOTV seller, the Hurricane Spin Mop has landed on the shelves of major retail giants including Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and CVS. The Hurricane is also being distributed in over 30 countries.
Among his most notable inventions, the patented Renu-it Battery Regenerator. This fantastic device not only regenerates dead alkaline batteries, it recharges several common rechargeable batteries, helping consumers save money and reduce waste! Amazingly, the Renu-it works with five different battery chemistries and is designed with four charging docks for AA, AAA, C, D, or 9-volt batteries. Wildly successful, the Renu-it Deluxe Battery Regenerator has been featured as the Home Shopping Network’s Today’s Special several times and has sold nearly 2 million units worldwide.
But it doesn’t stop there. Lou Lentine stands behind the innovative Mighty Jump-an emergency car jump starter that jump-starts a vehicle without leaving the driver’s seat. Small enough to store almost anywhere, the Mighty Jump takes only ten minutes to charge a car battery enough to start the engine. Also a HSN Today’s Special, the Mighty Jump is a proven top-seller and has sold millions of units globally.
Although Lou Lentine enjoys inventing new products, he also supports those who inspire innovation! Unlike many companies that solicit new products,Lou Lentine accepts new product submissions from inventors around the world. If a product is not appropriate for Viatek’s channels of distribution, Lou provides adequate, positive, truthful evaluations. In all cases, Lou strives to give constructive criticism and often provides referrals to hopeful inventors. This year alone, Lou encouraged long-lasting business relationships with third party inventors who developed new innovative products including: Broomy, Foldable Broom and Dust Pan, Plug Genie ®, International Power Strip and Adapter Set, and Cozy Cup, a wrap around heated sleeve for coffee cups-featuring technology developed by NASA.
